Seeing a resort in person changes everything. Tell us where you’re considering and we’ll help you arrange a site visit before you commit to a date.
Fill out the form and a specialist will follow up within one business day to help coordinate your visit and answer any questions about the resort, venues, or availability.
Do not book your flights prior to receiving site visit confirmation. Site visits are subject to the resort’s approval and availability, and appointments are not guaranteed.
After submitting, a destination wedding specialist will reach out to help plan your visit around your travel dates and the resort’s availability.
A site visit is one of the best ways to experience your wedding destination before making your final decisions. Keep these in mind as you plan yours.
Once you’ve selected travel dates, let us know. We’ll work with the resort to request your site visit appointment and provide any additional information you need before you travel. If you’re planning to visit multiple resorts, we recommend limiting yourself to no more than two or three per day — this gives you enough time to explore each property without feeling rushed and makes it easier to compare your options afterward.
Most resorts only conduct wedding site visits Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Wedding coordinators are typically busy with events on weekends, so appointments are rarely available then.
Let us know as soon as you begin planning your trip. We’ll coordinate with the resort’s wedding department to request a site visit and introduce you to the wedding team ahead of your arrival.
While most resorts are happy to accommodate site visits, appointments are based on availability and are not guaranteed. This is why we recommend holding off on booking flights until your visit is confirmed.
You’ll get the best feel for the property by staying there overnight rather than visiting for a few hours. Experiencing the rooms, restaurants, beach, pools, and evening atmosphere helps you make a confident decision.
Keep in mind that weddings often occur during your visit. You may not be able to access every ceremony or reception venue if another couple is using it at the time.
Consider asking about ceremony and reception locations, backup weather plans, wedding packages and customization options, private event options, and vendor policies.
If available, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the resort’s wedding coordinator. This is a great chance to discuss your vision and ask questions about how weddings are managed on property.
If a resort representative makes a promise regarding pricing, complimentary rooms, upgrades, wedding inclusions, venue availability, or any exceptions to standard policy, ask that it be provided in writing. If possible, copy your HotelMaven advisor on any emails so we can verify the details and make sure everything is reflected correctly when your group is booked.
After your visit, we’d love to hear your impressions and help answer any follow-up questions before you move forward.
A specialist reviews your request and reaches out to learn your travel dates, the resort you’re considering, and what you’d like to see while there.
We reach out to the resort’s wedding team to arrange your visit and confirm availability for the dates you have in mind.
You tour the venues, meet the wedding team, and see the resort firsthand — with our notes on what to look for along the way.
After your visit, we help you weigh what you saw and move forward with a room block and date hold whenever you’re ready.
See it before you say
I do to it.
